BOARD OF DIRECTORS



President

Leslie Manuel, BSN, RN, CCM


With over 25 years of nursing experience, Leslie Manuel has a strong background in pediatric oncology, bone marrow transplant, telephone advice nursing, and case management.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is currently in a Master’s degree program for Nursing Leadership and Administration. She holds a certification as a Certified Case Manager (CCM). Leslie began her career in 2000 as a travel nurse, serving in diverse clinical settings for more than a decade before making Las Vegas her home in 2009. She then transitioned into managed care, taking on the role of a telephone advice nurse for a local health plan. Today, she serves as an RN Associate Director, where she leads and supports outpatient case management teams. Outside of her professional role, Leslie has been happily married for 13 years and cherishes time with her husband and their daughter. She enjoys traveling with family, relaxing at the beach, cooking for loved ones, and proudly cheering for the Vegas Golden Knights.

Karen Drum, DNP, MSN, RN, CCM


Karen Drum brings over 20 years of nursing expertise to her role. Originally from Southern California, Karen relocated to Las Vegas in 1994 to attend UNLV, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). During the first 12 years of her career, she worked in an acute care hospital, specializing in the intensive care unit and trauma care. Since 2012, Karen has been part of a managed care organization, where she currently leads teams in telephone advice nursing, outpatient case management, and inpatient case management. She further advanced her education, earning a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Leadership and Administration in 2020, followed by a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Leadership and Administration from Capella University in 2022. Karen has been happily married for one year. Outside of work, she is passionate about global travel, reading, attending musicals, and spending quality time with her husband, friends, and family.

Kerry Halcomb, Physical Therapist


Kerry Halcomb, Physical Therapist, is a passionate healthcare leader with over 25 years of experience in home health, hospice, private duty, and outpatient physical therapy clinics. Kerry is known for identifying and executing strategic growth opportunities, enhancing operations. He has been successful in growing a home health agency in Arizona for 14 years until merging with another company. Kerry is now the Regional Director of Operations of AdvisaCare Home Health and Hospice for Arizona and Nevada. In his spare time, he serves on many healthcare related boards including (AAHC) Arizona Association Home Care, (CMSA) Case Management Society Arizona, (AALHA) Arizona Assisted Living Homes Association, and (RACC) Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce and (CMALV) Case Management Association Las Vegas.






Director of Education and Social Media

Lisa Schaffer, BSN, RN, CCM


Lisa brings over 30 years of diverse nursing experience and a deep commitment to patient advocacy. Her clinical background includes roles in medical-surgical nursing, charge nurse responsibilities, private duty care, intermediate care for both acute and chronic conditions, burn unit nursing across pediatric and adult populations, and volunteer service as a camp nurse. Following her time in bedside care, Lisa pursued further education and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She holds professional certifications in Infection Prevention and Case Management and has actively contributed to numerous interdisciplinary teams focused on Performance Improvement, Quality Assurance, Education, Survey Readiness, Hazardous Materials, and Emergency Preparedness. Lisa played a key role in the development of Nevada’s original Inter-Facility Infection Control Transfer Form, an experience that underscored the critical importance of collaboration beyond individual healthcare facilities. Her professional goals include fostering networking and collaboration among Case Managers and Social Workers in Southern Nevada and enhancing awareness of available community resources.



Director of Membership

Mo Pourteymaur, PharmD


Mo Pourteymaur, PharmD, has been a pharmacist in the Southern Nevada community for almost 30 years. His experience ranges from hospital pharmacies to retail pharmacies, and his passion spans over 25 years in the home infusion pharmacy space. Mo Pourteymaur began as a Staff Pharmacist at Total Infusion 13 years ago and is now the Pharmacy Manager of Total Infusion Care, as well as one of the owners for almost seven years. He is an avid Golden Knights fan and enjoys watching games at T Mobile stadium. Mo is committed to growing Case Management Association of Las Vegas membership.
